On September 30, 2026, Filmore Development officially held the groundbreaking ceremony for SOMA The First, a riverside residential development located at No. 01 Ha Huy Giap Street, Tran Bien Ward, Dong Nai City, with views of the Dong Nai River from three sides. The project marks a new approach to Wellness – one that extends beyond physical exercise and recovery to encompass adults’ mental well-being and children’s healthy development.

When Wellness goes beyond exercise
The demands of urban life often leave little time for health and well-being, which can become limited to just a few hours of exercise each week. Yet sustainable well-being calls for much more: Spaces where families can stay active, enjoy fresh air and quality rest, and provide children with a healthy environment in which to grow.
Rather than simply focusing on adding more amenities to the apartment, Filmore Development takes a different approach, starting with a more fundamental consideration: “What does a family truly need to live well in the long term, beyond just a few hours of exercise each week?”
At SOMA The First, Wellness is built around three interconnected dimensions – Body, Mind and Intellect – thoughtfully integrated into everyday life.
Body focuses on a holistic approach to physical well-being, encompassing both exercise and recovery. In addition to a gym and swimming pool, residents can enjoy hot and cold plunge pools, infrared saunas, and dedicated relaxation areas. Mind is nurtured through a close connection with nature. Carefully planned green spaces, together with the development’s three-sided river views, allow natural breezes and daylight to become part of the living environment. Intellect is fostered through a healthy environment where children are encouraged to move, explore and discover, while families grow and thrive together.
This philosophy also guides the project’s design. Working alongside design consultants RSP Architects Planners & Engineers and LJ-Group, Filmore Development focuses on creating spaces shaped around the everyday experiences of families, from physical activity and relaxation to meaningful connections with one another.
Mr. Nguyen Tan Danh, Chairman of Filmore Real Estate Development Corporation, shared:
“We do not want healthy living to depend solely on each resident’s individual efforts. Instead, we want the living environment to become a foundation that supports it. For us, Wellness is not measured by the number of fitness machines, but by whether someone can restore their energy after a day at work, whether a mother can feel less stressed, and whether a child has the space to grow up healthy.”
Mr. Nguyen Tan Danh – Chairman of the Board of Directors of Filmore Development, shares the Wellness philosophy behind SOMA The First.
A new beginning alongside Dong Nai’s transformation
The groundbreaking ceremony for SOMA The First took place just months after Dong Nai officially became a centrally governed city. The city is pursuing a development vision centered on airport-oriented, riverside and multi-centered urban areas, alongside green and smart city development. This vision places people at its core, with environmental protection and improvements in residents’ health and material and spiritual well-being serving as key pillars of sustainable development.
Against this backdrop, SOMA The First aspires to become part of the city’s evolving urban landscape – a place where residents can not only work and connect, but also live, unwind and care for their well-being in the very place they call home. .

The start of commitments
The ceremony was attended by development financing partner VPBank, general contractor Hoa Binh Construction Group, construction supervision consultant Artelia, other partners, sales agencies and many distinguished guests. Their presence reflects the shared commitment to the project and marks the beginning of Filmore Development’s commitments to the city, its customers, partners, and the wider community.
To the city, Filmore commits to complying with approved planning, respecting the riverside landscape and minimizing disruption to surrounding residents throughout construction. To its financial partners, the company pledges to use capital for its intended purposes, maintain transparency at every stage, and uphold strict project schedule discipline. To its consultants, contractors and distribution partners, Filmore is committed to close collaboration, respect for each party’s professional expertise and making occupational safety a top priority.
Located in the heart of Tran Bien Ward, SOMA The First comprises two 36-story towers with approximately 1,800 apartments and shophouses. As the first development in the SOMA product line, the project embraces the philosophy of “Authentic Living” – where quality of life is shaped by genuine experiences woven into everyday life.
Ultimately, a healthy and fulfilling life is shaped not only by how we care for ourselves, but also by the place we return to every day.
